Community Voices Data Walk

Since August 2017, Austin Justice Coalition and Urban Institute have collaborated on the Community Voices survey instrument to gauge perceptions of police in Austin neighborhoods that experience high levels of police interactions. This survey pilot was carried out over the summer, and we are excited to share the findings with you.

Through the course of its development and implementation, community members and members of Austin Police Department lent their time and energy to help build an authentic survey. The results of this survey can be used to inform and elicit much-needed change in one of our city’s more heavily policed areas.

AJC and Urban invite you to join the conversation on perceptions of policing. We are sharing the results of the survey with both community members and Austin Police Department on Friday, October 27 at 6 p.m. Join us at American YouthWorks this important next step in the Community Voices project, and provide your feedback as we walk through the findings.

We kindly ask you to RSVP by Friday, October 20th to attend.
