What is Walk a Mile?
Every year, San Luis Obispo County men, women, & children Walk a Mile to end sexual assault & gender-based violence. These family-friendly events create a safe environment for survivors & supporters to raise awareness for an uncomfortable topic that affects all of us in our community.
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM)! The goal of SAAM is to raise public awareness about sexual violence & to educate communities on how to prevent it by promoting safe behaviors, thoughtful policies, & healthy relationships.
