SURJ SM Presents Shay Stewart-Bouley of Black Girl in Maine

SURJ Southern Maine is proud to present our inaugural event, renowned speaker and writer Shay Stewart-Bouley at the Dance Hall in Kittery. Shay is known for her inspiring talks that illustrate her experience living as a Black woman in an overwhelmingly white state, and inviting her white neighbors to awareness of their different experience in a predominantly white society. She has been widely published and has been featured as a guest on MSNBC. She is the executive director of the Boston nonprofit Community Change Inc.
