Idaho Science Standards – Public Meetings BOISE

For 2 years running, award-winning Idaho science teachers have met to revise the outdated standards for Idaho students. Although unanimously endorsed by the State Board of Education, each year, the Idaho Legislature has rejected the changes and objected to certain sections that refer to climate change and the importance of sustaining biodiversity to support life on Earth.

The State Department of Education seeks your input. You can attend a public hearing or write a respectful email. Let the department know that our children deserve no less than standards that are robust and based on sound science.
