DAR Museum Tour: Exhibit of Period Rooms
Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Museum Tour: Exhibit of Period Rooms
Come see the magnificent museum of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), currently holding a special exhibition of 31 period rooms that tell the story of the American domestic interior. The rooms, each of which is sponsored by a DAR State Society, date between 1690 and 1935 and illustrate a wide range of cultures and regional differences. Compare how homes have changed over the years, which features we still use today, and which features have fallen by the wayside. We also will visit the beautiful library, gift shop, and, if no performance is scheduled, Constitution Hall.
TIME: Meet at the DAR, 1776 D Street, NW, by 10:50 am; tour begins at 11 am. Optional lunch afterwards at Le Pain Quotidien, 800 17th Street NW
PRICE: Tour only, $15 Members; $20 Non-members.
