October IM Assembly with Mark Pocan

Indivisible Madison is excited to welcome Mark Pocan to speak at our October Assembly on Oct. 17 (third Tuesday) at the AFSCME Headquarters (rather than the Central Madison Library).

Mark has been an outspoken fan of the resistance movement. He serves as Co-Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. In August at NetRoots Nation, he served on a panel with Ezra Levin, co-founder and Co-Executive Director of Indivisible on How to Transform Trump Anger and Movement Energy into Victories on Capitol Hill.

Also joining us is Scott McDonell, Dane County Clerk. He’ll tell us about a study the county funded which estimates that up to 23,000 people in Dane and Milwaukee counties did not vote in November 2016 because of the state’s voter ID law. (You may recall that Hillary lost by approx. 22,000 votes.)

We’ll also review past actions, current opportunities, and plan for future action. Come find out how you can join the resistance, deepen your involvement, and take action.
